Heather Pugh

  • Heather Pugh is a certified Pilates Teacher. The founder of Flow Pilates Studio and Fitness in Ottawa, Heather brings her passion, skills and pragmatic teaching style to both classroom and private settings.

    Heather has practiced and taught over the past ten years and has studied with renowned teachers. She is continuing her education and studying of the Pilates method with Dianne Miller of Vancouver, BC. She has also studied anatomy and human movement through the University of Ottawa, and cardiac pre-habilitation and rehabilitation at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

    Among her many accomplishments, Heather is certified in Pilates for Golf, and a member of the PMA (Pilates Method Alliance). Heather has advanced her knowledge of musculoskeletal injury and rehabilitation through her close affiliation with The Centre for Manual Physiotherapy. Heather is proud to have been chosen as an ambassador for lululemon athletica for 2007-2008.

    Heather’s dynamic personality, experience and commitment to continuous learning through numerous workshops and seminars, have expanded her scope of practice and made her one of the most sought after Pilates Teachers in Ottawa.



    Angela Jackson

  • Angela Jackson has been teaching Pilates for over 10 years and has been studying the Method for the last eighteen.

    As a graduate in Contemporary Dance from Les ateliers de danse moderne de Montreal and Concordia University, Pilates and yoga have always been a part of her dance training.

    She was certified in New York Style Pilates in 1999 at the Pilates Centre of Ottawa (Boulder, Colorado). She has furthered her Pilates education through workshops with, amongst others, Dianne Miller (Vancouver), Body Harmonics (Toronto) and the Studio Pilates (Toronto).

    Angela is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. She teaches creative movement and ballet to children, modern dance to adults and offers Pilates private, semi-private and rehabilitation training on specialized Pilates apparatus. In addition to teaching at Flow, she also teaches group mat classes throughout the city.

    As a yoga enthusiast, she incorporates aspects of yoga practice into her group classes.



    Claire Robinson

  • Claire is a graduate of the Fitness Management Program. She is a certified personal trainer, a group cycling instructor and a certified group fitness instructor. Claire participates in triathlons, the annual Rideau Lakes tour and half marathons. She has extensive experience in developing customized training programs designed to achieve both overall and specific fitness objectives.

    Claire believes that regardless of your fitness goals and training intensity, the key to a continued active lifestyle comes from strengthening the core muscles, evenly developing opposing muscles and learning to listen and respond to the messages your body is sending.

    Her circuit training classes (boot camps) support this philosophy and give the client the opportunity to determine their chosen level of intensity.

    She insists on proper body form when doing resistance training to minimize the risk of injury and help individuals become self aware of proper body alignment. This enables clients to continue to work out safely at home.


    Cindy Vervaeke

  • Certified Instructor [Ron Fletcher Pilates]

  • Certified Personal Trainer

  • Cindy Vervaeke has been a respected teacher in the Ottawa area for over 20 years. Her ongoing study of the Pilates method lead her to Tucson Arizona where she trained under First Generation Master Teacher, Ron Fletcher.

    She is currently one of four qualified Fletcher Pilates (tm) teachers in Canada.

    Cindy has also studied and holds certification in personal training from the Ottawa Sports Science Centre, Levels 1 & 2, as well as CAIA and Madd Dog Spinning.

    Her extensive teaching background and training of multiple fitness regimes has provided her with a a broad scope and solid base for working with clients of all ages and abilities.

    Cindy will be bringing the unique repertoire of Fletcher towel and spine corrector work to Flow Pilates.
